11 Months and a few steps later.....

A riddle for you all. What is almost one year old, 20 lbs, as tall as a garden gnome and now takes two or three steps at a time? Thats easy.....a Tink! Our girlie is moving like a little rocket around the house and as close as can be to walking. She is SUPER excited, because in less than two weeks we go to NC for vacation with Gamma, Papa and the Aunties! Get the baby gates ready!

A weekend of firsts...

This weekend our girlie treated herself to her first grilled cheese sandwich, her first homemade breakfast (pancakes and blueberry jam on toast Sunday morning with Daddy) and her first REAL step! This was all before we spent a beautiful summer afternoon celebrating Jackson's First Birthday! Jackson got lots of great presents and ate tons of chocolate cake! Happy Birthday Jackson!

For the 4th, Mommy and Daddy took Tink to the Big Apple for sightseeing, museums and a nice stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Midtown. For an added bonus, we met up with our friend Ida from Drexel. Ida took us to Bubby's, a nice cafe in Tribeca where we noshed with none other than Leo DiCaprio! Well, to be honest, we were almost 10 feet away, and though Leo and Bar failed to discover our Tink, we had a great meal anyway. FAO Schwartz was a big hit with our lady, who gazed at all the dolls and wagons longingly. Oh, and does this girl ever like to walk!! Our family tradition of hitting the NJ turnpike to the City on the 4th is going strong!
