A Good Mix...

Our little Tink was a carbon copy of her Papa and Auntie Annie when she was born, then she went through a phase of all Daddy and now she has morphed into a good combination of both Mommy and Daddy.

Here are a few cute "pictures from the past"--Ian is on the left and I am on the right. She certainly has Ian's smile and round face and my lack of hair and finger sucking habit. And of course we still see glimpses of Papa's facial expressions and Auntie Annie's eyebrow raise!

Growing Up Too Fast...

Our little Ryan turned five months old this past Tuesday and we can hardly believe how fast the time goes! It seems like just yesterday she was curling up on my chest to take a nap...now I can only dream of her being so cuddly:) Tink's big girl personality and emotions are shining through--her sheer joy at seeing Daddy come through the door after work is priceless. Her little proportions are even starting to catch up--we are finally moving her into 3 - 6 month clothes this weekend!

Practice Makes Perfect...

After our visit with Jessica and Jackson we were inspired to get our girlie sitting up on her own more often. We have been propping her up inside the Boppy to play with her toys and so far she is doing great. With a bit more practice she will be as good as that big boy Jackson!

Play, Play, Play...

This afternoon we made the trek to West Chester for lunch/playdate with Jessica and Jackson. It was our first visit to their little farmhouse and we had a wonderful time! We rolled around on the ground with Jackson, stared at those two funny cats, and even ate in the dining room (well kinda, Tink was much too distracted to get her bottle down). We also checked out Jackson's yellow Curious George bedroom--too cute! Jackson is now six months old, weighs in at 17 pounds and is a whooping 28 inches long--such a big boy!

Get In My Belly...

On Saturday Ryan had her first meal of squash and she gobbled it all up! We are hopeful that she will be a better veggie eater than her mommy--keep your fingers crossed:)
The Heart of It All...

This past weekend we made a quick trip out to Ohio for one last visit before I return to work. We had a wonderful trip getting to spend time with the Johansens on Saturday and the Achters on Sunday. Our little girlie was the center of attention and she was loving it!

There were two babies for our girlie to meet and play with too; four week old Addy and five month old Brady. We also got to spend time with Auntie Natalie who is expecting a new playmate for Tink in mid-April!

Our girl also received two boxes of adorable spring/summer clothes from Pastor Beth, Anna and Katie--thank you so much for thinking of us!

She Likes It, She Really Likes It...

Well kinda. Tink had her first big girl meal of rice cereal this evening and it was a good first attempt. She could not quite figure out what to do with the cereal once it was in her mouth and the majority ended up on her belly instead of in her belly--we'll keep trying! Next weekend she starts on the veggies and we are taking suggestions for what we should introduce first--we are currently thinking squash.

This was also her first time sitting in the Bumbo and she did great--thanks for the loaner Nana!

Chunky Monkey...

Ryan had her four month well visit with Dr. Kline this afternoon and she is doing great! She has put on the pounds, weighing in at 13lbs 6oz (40th percentile)--Gamma wins the pool! Now she can start eating rice cereal, veggies and fruit--we can only imagine how much she'll weigh at her six month visit! No big surprise that her 22 1/2 inch length keeps her well within the 5th percentile.

Happy New Year!

Our girlie had a big new year's weekend. We took Jack to the Curtis Arboretum dog park for a run and his bad boy behavior very quickly got us kicked out! But not before Tink had a laughing fit as Ian and Jack chased after the soccer ball.

The next morning we took Tink to The Philadelphia Museum of Art for her first visit. She was the perfect little museum-goer and had a great time taking in all the sounds, colors and people! We made our exit when her diaper leaked, soaking both her tights and Ian--the public bathroom diaper/outfit change that followed was NOT a good experience.

New Year's Eve was a big party night for us--Ryan hit the sack at 6:30PM, we watched Superman Returns and then turned in by 10PM:)
