Six-Months Old Today!
Our little Tink is six-months old today and we can hardly believe it! So many people told us that "the time will fly" and now we are starting to realize that they were all right! It is so amazing to watch her because everyday she is doing something new--be it "petting" Jack, jabbering "ma" and "dah" (we know that one is mere coincidence and a BIG stretch!), or kissing the baby in the mirror. She is so much fun!

Learners Permit...
Nana and Pop got Tink a little red sports car for Christmas and this past weekend she finally got behind the wheel. She had a great time starting it up (yes, it actually makes an ignition sound!), chewing on the key and looking at herself in the side mirror. Ian and I are dreading the day when it is a real car:)

One Week Down...
We made it through the first week of daycare! After a couple days of transition and a snow day Tink tackled the full-day daycare and I headed back to work. She seems to be adjusting very well and is busy making friends with her little classmates--Jack, Jacob, Christopher and Cassandra. She really seems to like her teachers--Arlene and Liz--and has been eating and napping very well. As of right now it seems that we made a good choice for our family!

Daycare: Day Two...
Today was picture day at daycare and perhaps that is why our girlie did so much better--we all know how she loves to get her picture taken! The pictures took me right back to elementary school with the fake meadow background and picnic basket to pose beside. It was too funny! Our girlie hammed it up for the camera and then headed back to her classroom for nap time. No screaming fits this time around made it a much easier day for everyone. We'll be sure to post her "school" picture as soon as it arrives.

Daycare: Day One...
Today was Tink's first day at daycare. We are starting out with two "transition" days prior to my first day back at work to help her (and Mommy!) get adjusted. Daddy and Nana went with us to get familiar with the Center and to meet Ryan's teachers. All was going well until she got a bit overly tired and then had a massive meltdown--our girl has lungs and now they all know it:) We are hopeful that day two will go better, but we are not holding our breath.

Using Her Powers For Evil...
Ian and I were so proud of Ryan and her bubble-making abilities until she decided to turn them on us. This past week she discovered that she could make GREAT bubbles if she had something in her mouth--namely pureed veggies. Now every time she gets a mouth full she immediately goes to work--sending carrots all over herself, Mommy and her room. And she could not be more pleased with herself as she beams with delight! Jack seems to be the only beneficiary of this new trick as he gets all the carrots he can lick up before I catch him. We will keep trying to feed her solids, bathing twice a day and hopefully one day her tummy will win the battle:)
