The birthday party circuit...

This summer our girlie is on the 4th birthday party circuit with all of her friends. (This was her post-party at Sprinkles eating ice cream--we left before the cake was served.)
With two parties down and countless more to go, Ryan has started making plans of her own party on August 23rd. Here was a recent dinner conversation about her birthday cake:

Mommy, "What kind of cake do you want for your birthday party?"

Ryan, "I think that I want a pink cake."

Mommy, "Sounds like a good idea. What kind of picture do you want on the pink cake? You can have any picture that you want."

Ryan, "Hmmmm, I think that I want a picture of Grandma."

Ian and I almost died laughing--a pink Grandma birthday cake it is!

Sleeping Beauty...

A priceless picture of our Tink sleeping (seriously!) with all of the essentials: dollies, blue bracelet, rabbit blanket, cupcake nightgown, and a birthday crown. Tee Tee, this is the crown she plans to wear to the wedding.

The hat...

Great Grandma Johansen made this super cute hat and we can't get our super cute girlie to take it off!

Valentine's Day...

Ryan made special Valentine's Day cupcakes, courtesy of Grammy, to celebrate the holiday and they were delicious!

Happy Halloween!

We went trick-or-treating with cousins Sophie and Lucy last night. All of our blond girlies looked adorable, got tons of candy, and were soaking wet! Here is Superman (girl) in action.

Winding Brook Farm...

Today we made our annual October pilgrimage to Winding Brook Farm. Ryan enjoyed picking out the perfect pumpkin, playing on the tree, and balancing on hay bales. Here are a few of our favorite pictures--enjoy!

Labor Day...

This past weekend we had a special visit from Cousin Allie and her friends Sara and Emily while on their way to and from New York City. Our Tink had a great time hamming it up for the girls and showing off her new big girl bed. Here are some pics of Tink and Allie "sleeping." Thanks for the visit and the delicious muffins Allie!

The big girl bed...

Tink's conversion to a real live big girl is one step closer to being complete with the arrival of her new big girl bed (thanks Nana and Pop for the great birthday present!). She even got her very own step stool so that she can climb into bed all by herself. Our brave girl slept through the first night without a hitch. We'll keep you posted how night two goes...

Upon her return to school from vacation, our Tink was crowned the queen of the ball. Here she is proudly wearing her crown!

We have a three year old on our hands...

On August 23rd it became official and two weeks later we are still having a hard time believing it--our Tink is three! We celebrated with a week long vacation in Ohio visiting Grandma and Papa. And then we hosted an under the sea mermaid pizza birthday party. Our girlie had a great time and got tons of toys, clothes, and books. Her favorites (so far) are her truck, doctor outfit, and train set.

Thanks to everyone for a great week and terrific third birthday!

Fun in the sun...

This past weekend we went to the Corn and Blackberry Festival at Linvilla Orchards. Our girlie had a great time playing at the playground, getting her face painted (just in case you don't recognize her, she is purple, glitter Spiderman), getting a little peck on the finger by an over zealous chicken, dancing on the picnic table, and eating some delicious blackberries. Special thanks to Amy for scouting out the festival and being our official photographer--you can be our social planner any day!

Then on Sunday we went to Nana and Pop's house to spend some time in the pool and sprinkler with cousins Sophie and Lucy. A wet and wild time was had by our three little blondies!
